AJD joined the xxxxx High staff in September 1967 as
a physics and algebra-2 instructor and was
part of the opening of the present facility during the
spring break of 1968.
AJD served as mathematics department chairman from 1971
to 1983 at which time he taught advanced
mathematics, as well as physics.
AJD graduated from MA State College at North Adams in
1964, completing the first 4-year program
for secondary level mathematics & science certification
with mathematics and physics endorsements.
AJD came to xxxxx in 1967 and pursued a program at Bridgeport,
New Haven, and Southern CT State
Universities extending his subject area concentrations
to the masters level in physics, mathematics, and
chemical physics & computer science by 1973.
AJD completed a 10 month program at Fairfield University
in 1983 being awarded a Masters of Arts
in Instructional Computer Science and also receiving
certification in Intermediate Administration.
AJD attended one ERDA Institute on Electric Power Production
at Lowell Technical Institute in August
of 1975 and another on an Overview of the Energy Problem
at Dartmouth College in July 1977.
AJD conducted two workshops for the High School faculty
during the spring of 1976 as an introduction
to the metric system.
AJD conducted CEU Workshop for the mathematics, science
and business departments during the spring

AJD is a member of the American Associations for Mathematics,
Physics Teachers and Science.
AJD was twice Exalted Ruler of xxxxx Elks Lodge and was
scholarship chairman from 1967 through 1986.
